All these models were made in the early 1970s - nearly 55 years ago!   I took the photos with an old Instamatic 100 point and shoot camera, and the results are as expected - not good. So I had to resort to my old friend AI to make them look 'better'.

Convair B36 Peacemaker.

The Convair B36 is the largest mass-produced piston engined aircraft ever built. It also had the most engines, totalling ten, of any mass-produced aircraft.

I built this model around about 1971/72. Its scale is 1:144 and it is scratch built from plans, using balsa wood and parts from my scrap-box.

The photo depicts it flying over the Grand Canyon.

I built this Airfix 1:32 scale model around about 1972.

F4 Phantoms.

These two Phantoms were built around 1972/3. The one in the foreground is an Airfix 1:32 scale model, and is the biggest model I have ever built. The one in the background is an Airfix 1:72 scale model.

This is a 100% scratch built 1:72 scale model built from plans using wood.
